The rooms

The residence has double rooms with bathrooms, and it is also possible to add
a third bed. One room offering the use of a kitchen is available.

The rooms are all bright and stylishly furnished. Each has a style and personality
of its own which conveys a familiar and welcoming feel, ensuring your stay is
even more pleasant. The bathrooms have windows and are new and spacious, and all
have showers and offer the highest standards of comfort. Each room has Wi-Fi,
satellite TV, air conditioning and a mini-bar.

Breakfast at Villa Alda is a delight to get your day off to the best possible start.

Breakfast is served in the taverna room, or on the B&B level, and serves up wholesome
products and plenty of local delicacies: jams, mouth-watering cakes, ham, homemade
bread and much more besides.

Dear Sir/Madam – to whom it may concern,
We kindly wish to inform you that Legislative Decree no. 196 dated 30 June 2003 ("Personal Data Protection Act") governs the protection of persons and other parties with regard to the processing of personal data. The law indicated above states that this processing must be conducted in accordance with principles of honesty, lawfulness and transparency, and that your confidentiality and rights must be protected.

In accordance with Article 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, we would accordingly provide you the following information:

1. Whilst navigating on our website, our IT systems collect the following data:

a. The user’s IP address
b. Day and time of connection
c. Amount of time spent on our website
d. Tracing the browsing path followed. 
In addition, web statistic software is used (such as Google Analytics) and Cookies may be used. The data gathered in this way is processed for all the purposes of the activities conducted within our business, and in particular for the statistical analysis of navigation on the website.

2. The data will be processed both with computerised instruments and in paper form as well as on any other suitable mediums, in compliance with the minimum security measures stipulated in the Technical Guidelines under Annex B of the Consolidated Privacy Act.

3. In order to be able to view the company website, the necessary data must be provided, and will be gathered automatically by the company systems.

4. The data may be communicated to parties outside the Company, such as staff members, consultants, associated companies, partners, credit institutes or other parties, but only if they are closely related to the activities of the website. The data controller is Villa Alda, Bed and Breakfast.

6. The appointed data controller is specifically identified in the 
Security Policy Document which is drafted annually. On today’s date, the data controller is the legal representative.

7. You may exercise your rights over the data controller at any time, in accordance with Article 7 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, which we reproduce to follow in its entirety for your convenience:

Italian Legislative Decree no.196/2003: Art. 7 – Right of access to personal data and other rights

1. The party concerned has the right to obtain confirmation of whether personal data which concerns him/her exists or not, even if not yet registered, and for this this data to be communicated to said party in an intelligible form.

2. The party concerned is entitled to obtain information regarding:

a) the origin of the personal data;
b) the purposes of and methods used in the processing;
c) the logic applied in the case of processing carried out with the aid of electronic instruments;
d) the essential identifying data of the controller, supervisors and the designated representative in accordance with Article 5 paragraph 2;
e) the parties or categories of parties to which the personal data may be revealed, or which may become aware of such data in their role of designated representative of the State, supervisors or persons in charge of such processes.

3. The party concerned is entitled to obtain:

a) updates, amendments or, where relevant, supplements to the data;
b) the deletion, transformation into anonymous form or blockage of data processed unlawfully, including data which it is not necessary to store in relation to the purposes for which the data was gathered or subsequently processed;
c) the confirmation that the operations referred to in letters a) and b) have been brought to the attention, also as regards their content, of the persons with whom the data has been shared or to whom it has been disclosed, except where this should prove impossibile, or where it requires the use of means which are clearly disproportionate in relation to the right protected.

4. The party concerned is entitled to raise a total or partial objection:

a) for legitimate reasons to the processing of personal data regarding the party, even though such data is relevant to the purpose of its collection;
b) to the processing of personal data regarding the party for the purposes of sending advertising or direct sales material, or for carrying out market research or business communications.

The area

Parma’s Apennines are packed with historical and natural attractions, not to mention fine food and wine.

Torrechiara Castle, one of Italy’s most beautiful walled hamlets, is just a few minutes from
Villa Alda. Set atop a hill from which it dominates the entire valley, the castle has been
used as the set for famous films such as Ladyhawke and Condottieri. Inside it still retains
Medieval and Renaissance elements of artistic and historical interest.

Castles are not the only attraction in the area … Langhirano is very near to the Parco dei
Cento Laghi natural park, where wonderful day trips await both in winter and summer.

And of course there is the food, which will take centre stage during your stay here. In
this area you will find all the very best specialities of our area: Prosciutto di Parma cured ham,
Salame Felino salami, Coppa di Parma cured pork, and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. You can
also visit wine cellars and sample typical local wines: the mouth-watering, sparkling Malvasia,
Lambrusco and Fortana wines.

Villa Alda is just a few kilometres from Parma; you will be able to pop into town
to visit its churches, squares, museums and theatres, or spend an evening at the table
of one of Parma’s delightful trattorie in the historic quarter, whenever you like.

Motorway:
Parma Centro exit – head for the city centre (“centro città”) – take the ring road (“tangenziale”)
towards Piacenza – and follow the signs to Langhirano
On reaching Langhirano – turn left off the state highway – head towards the centre of town –
at the first traffic light go straight ahead – go straight over the second traffic light –
when you reach the shopping centre (which you will see on your left) turn right into Viale dei Mille – 100 m further on, take the first right into Via Nino Bixio – you have arrived!
